Last night I saw Lady Vengeance. The third in a trilogy which also includes Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance and Old Boy, Lady Vengeance is a sometimes disturbing, sometimes amusing dark thriller.The film looks gorgeous. The locations and cinematography are amazing. The story cuts back and forth in time. You can’t help but laugh at a few of the better set pieces, even although it takes a very disturbing turn towards the end.
You don’t have to have seen the first two films in the trilogy to make sense of it. Lee Young-ae (pictured) gives an brilliant performance (as well of course as looking amazing). It takes home a solid 3 Tom stars.
