Terrible news on top of good news for Aardman Animations as their warehouse and entire archive is destroyed in a fire after Wallace and Gromit topped the US box office.I went to see the film last night and it’s a solid, funny picture. No surprises, just the kind of thing you would expect from them if you’ve seen the shorts. The cute rabbits made me laugh the most.
The film mixes in little homages to other movies such as The Fly, King Kong and American Werewolf in London. There is also the odd risqué gag for the adults.
