Speaking of soccer, I'm surprised that 'pish decided not to blog about the fact that dunfermline tried to sign diego maradonna's son. Is this in fact true? Or just another one of these sensationalist stories that you were ranting about the other day?

Yes it was true that the Pars were trying to sign Diego Maradona JR, but since it has about as much chance of actually ocurring as my dream involving the Dallas Cowboys cheerleading squad and all that ice cream, I decided not to bother.
Interesting nb on that though - Diego Sr only recognised him as his son after DNA testing proved it beyond a shadow of a doubt - what a lovely guy eh?

I am considering entering your league as it has been reported in the past that females who have been in your league have had outside help from their male partners and have perhaps not wholly merited their final position in the league. Perhaps my inclusion as a single female with no 'better/worse half' would put paid to these rumours. Or prove them beyond any doubt depending of course on how I end up in the league. Tell me, are the rules fairly easy to pick up if one has never entered such a thing before?

Yes you will have to give an a email address and a personal password - this is so that you can log into your team and league. It will actually ask you quite a lot of stuff, like what team you support etc... just fill it out and you should be allowed then to pick your team, stadium and manager. Once you've done that, then you are ready to join the league. Go to the mini league admin bit, select the join an existing league option and enter the details I send you yesterday. It should be an hour or so before your team shows up in the league table.
