Gourmet Grub on a Budget

Here’s an article from yesterday’s Independent. A few of us at work have found ourselves trying to make the monthly wage stretch further by shopping in Lidl and Aldi.

To my surprise I’ve found the standard of food at Lidl surprisingly high. There’s barely been a food item I’ve bought out of there that hasn’t been delicious. There are of course, some things to avoid but on the whole it’s good stuff.

When I eventually get a job that pays a living wage I’ll still go into Lidl for groceries.
